Setting up Hosted Exchange in Outlook 2003

Follow these steps to get Email setup to work with Microsoft Outlook 2003

1.)  Make sure that Outlook is completely closed. 

2.)  From Control Panel, double click the Mail (32-bit) Icon

3.)  Click Show Profiles                

4.) Click Add in the profile window to create a new outlook profile that will be used for your Exchange account.            

5.) Enter any Profile name you prefer and click OK             

6.) Select Add a new e-mail account and click next.

7.) Select Microsoft Exchange Server from the top of the list and click next.

8.) In the section Microsoft Exchange Server enter

In the section Username enter the domain mismatrix\’ followed by your Hosted Network username.

Then select More Settings

9.) In the More Settings window, select the Connection tab.  Check the box Connect to my Micorsoft Exchange using HTTP, then click Exchange Proxy Settings.

10.) In Proxy Settings window, under the URL to connect to the proxy serer for exchange, enter

Ensure that On Fast Networks, and on Slow networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP are both checked off as the image shows below.

Set the Proxy Authentication Settings to be Basic Authentication as shown below, then click OK.

11.) Click Finish and you will be prompted to enter your login credentials to connect to the Exchange Server.  Enter the following:

username : mismatrix\{Hosted Network Account Name}

Password : Your login password for your Hosted Network user
